Congratulations on your acceptance to graduate studies at Rhode Island School of Design. The opportunity to focus on your practice and to engage in critical dialogues about art and design is an essential part of what it means to be a graduate student at RISD.
As your practice grows through new experiences, you'll broaden your capabilities in critical thinking and critical making. This is an opportunity to not only learn deeply about your chosen field of study, but also to learn about yourself, the way you think and how you move through new modes of reflection and creative discovery. You'll have access to specialized facilities, along with opportunities to teach, research, exhibit, travel and collaborate. We look forward to welcoming you to our global creative community and hope you’ll take full advantage of everything RISD has to offer as you make exciting contributions hereand in the world at large.
